At PsychEd Solutions, we believe in the power of mentorship, clinical excellence, and community-based learning. Our Clinical Training Program—led by Dr. Brinson—offers high-quality training for Master’s and Doctoral students pursuing careers in mental health and psychology.

We proudly welcome interns and practicum students from diverse educational backgrounds who are eager to grow their skills in real-world, client-centered settings. Whether you’re meeting graduate program requirements or completing a psychology residency, PsychEd Solutions provides the structure, supervision, and support you need to thrive.

Our program offers clinical opportunities at the Master’s, Doctoral, and informal Postdoctoral levels, with placements aligned to each trainee’s specific interests and career goals. Under the guidance of licensed, experienced clinicians, students are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health and educational concerns.

In addition to traditional psychotherapeutic interventions, trainees are introduced to holistic models of mental wellness that emphasize mind–body integration. Our training is grounded in a multicultural framework, helping students navigate the complex intersections of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and identity—particularly as experienced by LGBTQ+ individuals in minority communities.

Why Training Matters

Trainees receive hands-on experience in:

Psychological evaluations (including ADHD, Autism, pre-employment, vocational, and school readiness testing)
Individual, family, and group counseling
School-based services and behavioral interventions
Mindfulness practices, emotional regulation, and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning)
Case documentation, HIPAA compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Dr. Brinson’s decades of clinical experience, commitment to holistic care, and passion for education form the foundation of our training program. She mentors with both clinical rigor and heartfelt support, guiding each intern to develop their own voice and therapeutic style.
