Spending too much time planning, problem-solving, daydreaming, thinking negative or random thoughts? It can be draining and makes you more likely to experience stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. No worries, we can help! PsychEd Solutions provides mindfulness and meditation sessions that are designed to decrease symptoms that prevent you from maximizing your potential.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress. Practicing mindfulness exercises can help you direct your attention away from this kind of thinking and engage with the world around you.
What are the benefits of Meditation?
Meditation can help you experience thoughts and emotions with greater balance and acceptance. The overall evidence supports the effectiveness of meditation for various conditions, including:
• Anxiety / Depression
• Anger Management
• Poor concentration
Psychological Assessment refers to the battery of tests administered to evaluate your intellectual, learning, emotional and/or behavioral functioning. The test battery varies depending upon the referral question(s), and can include a structured interview, assessment of intellectual capability, learning/processing measures, measures of attention and memory, academic achievement measures, projective measures, self-report surveys, parent and third party checklists, and possibly in vivo observations. Testing sessions are typically scheduled during the morning when most people function at their best. One or two testing sessions may be scheduled, depending on the number of tests/measures being given. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding specific names of tests that will be administered during testing.
Fees for our assessments include administration, scoring, and interpretation of tests; it also requires the psychologist to prepare a written report and meet with parents to review the results. The cost for a full assessment is determined by the total number of hours required by the psychologist(s) to complete the full evaluation process from testing time with your child to results review session with you and can range from $650 to $2800. A partial payment is usually required when your appointment is booked, partial payment is collected on the day of testing and the balance is due at the feedback session. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

• Is the cost of psychological testing covered?
• Is there a deductible?
• What portion will be reimbursed?
• Is a referral needed from a primary care physician?
• Is pre-authorization required?
• If your insurance company requests a list of the tests being administered, we can provide that for you.
Following your feedback session you will receive a coded billing statement at your follow-up appointment that you may file with your insurance company for reimbursement.
